It started yesterday.  The discovery.  The love.  Where have you been all my life?  Two words: "steam punk".  I can't believe my eyes have never grazed the awesome dustiness of this style.  Sign me up for the coal mines and fill my pipe with steam cause I am on board! Shit is piling up all over the place and in every corner of my home.  I have half-designed projects strewn across and underneath the partially-painted dinner table, blotchy palettes are stacking up on the side tables and reference books are lounging everywhere between here and Mercury. I need focus.....and a sandwich. Phew!  After weeks of stress, I've finally settled into my newest home.  The great thing about know ing lots of people when you're down on the dollar is you get to furnish your new home with freebies.  Sure, our couch smells like dog drool and our bed is, uhhh, well used but I've accepted it all keeping in mind that someday the buck'll go up.  Though I had discovered today that a microwave stand does not make for a suitable TV stand....this came to me after the whole unit tipped over on top of my limbs....and somehow I ended up covered in paint.  Lesson learned.
